All Rights Reserved. All Dosas featured in this feast are not completely intended. Any resemblance to any character in Dasavatharam movie is purely coincidental. No similarity to any character either living or dead is intended. But it should be inferred(If you want, you can).

Everyone must have tasted dosa and seen Dasavatharam(if you havent or if are waiting to see in Sun Tv, its your wish). This is a small mapping between the 10 avatars and Dosas or Dosai, whatever you call it.

1. Rangaraja Nambi: Ghee Dosa - Ghee Dosa, made in Iyengar’s place(Iyengar aathula vaatha Dosa) with lot of karapodi, adding the spice to the character/component. This Dosa, thou is purely a vegetarian food in make, it falls under ashaiva unavu(Non-Veg Food) because it is non - Shaiva,  Anti - Saiva.
2. Govind Ramasamy - Plain or Sada Dosa, may be we can call it a paper roast, since it looks young, it tries hardly to impress people, but it couldn’t. Still no one is having any hatred and it serves as the hero of all varieties.
3. Avthar Singh: Wheat dosa - Made out of Punjabi wheat, it actually not needed in the feast, but still it is tasteful for its song.
4. Balram Nayudu: Set dosa - a popular type of dosa in Telgu, which is cooked only on one side(So is the character, arai vekadu, tries to impress with it so called clever wits) and is served in a set of two, hence the name.
5. Christian Fletcher: Vegetable Dosa, may be a Desi version of Pizza. Very spicy and good to watch, but at the end of it, Pizzas are always bad to health.
6. Shin-ken narahache: Chilli Dosa : Hot and Spicy, just a guest appearance, added in the feast just for a fight( to kill our tongue)
7. George bush: Pinja Dosa(Torn Dosa): No one knows, why it is there, may be useful for feeding crows on the roof top.
8. Vincent poovaragavan: Ulunthu Dosa(Made of Urad Dhal-Black) : Though it looks dark, it is very healthy to eat and good for health, especially for bones (of the body and of the society)
9. Krishnaveni Paati: Rava Dosa - Very tasty and fast snack, though looks ugly, it serves it purpose.
10. Kaliphulla Khan: Family Dosa - As tall as it can be, FAMILY is the typical word for this Dosa/Character. Goes well with anything, even under embarrassment it returns good.

Other Important Dosa Characters:

• Asin : Cannot be termed as a DOSA, can be called as kasapu(Bitter) chutney, irritating from the beginning, but what to do , finally we have to eat it with Plain Dosa
• Malika Masala Sherawat: Masala dosa - added for Masala, but the content is very less and doesnt taste great, it just gives the feeling , God when will this Dosa get over. Thank you elephant
• Jayaprada: Ootapam - Thou 2 days(Decades) old, it is pretty good, but just an extra piece again.

Why are we still lingering to 1983 world cup triumph? For the past one week, 1983 world cup victory was the talk of the country, all newspapers, media, tv and radio were covering it as if it is happening now. Why do we need this now? And there was a function arranged to celebrate the victory which we got 25 years ago. Each player was given a cash prize of 25 lacs and a signatured bat, which will set on auction at Lords, i thought the auction amount will be given to some charity, but it is not. It will be shared equally among the poor players like Kapil Dev, Srikanth, Gavaskar who are below the line of poverty.

Do we really need this now? Why dont they do something that is useful?

In US it costs $200, we have to wait to the see the Indian price, if they are clever enough to launch it at around 10k INR then they will rule the market. I heard that it is gona introduce the 2 yr subscription contract as in US, But how feasible it is in Inida? Remember 500Rs Reliance mobile? Everyone got with a fake id and used it to the maximum.

Anyways lets wait

The show time was 6.30, but we were allowed inside only at 7.15, by the time i parked by bike and got it, first 10 min went off. Thank God, i saw first 6 min in youtube. The movie didnt live up to its expectation, but still proves good. 10 roles and i think, kamal hassan has done a wonderful performance but the make up is kinda pricking, it makes you feel that he is always wearing a mask, esp in George Bush, chineese master(Shingen Narahashi) and the tall man(Kalifulla Khan).

Compared to Avaishanmugi’s make-up, none of these 10 roles stands up to the mark, we can easily say it is kamal wearing a facepack. If rated for make up, then Vincent Babru Vahan’s was too good, you cant see a kamal there.

StoryLine:
The story is a straight and simple, it doesnt involve 10 characters actually, just 3 roles would have done this.
Christian Fletcher, Govinda Ramasamy, Naidu or patti. First kamal should have explained what a Bio weapon is, i bet the B and C centre will break their heads for this. One guy who was sitting in my back seat, even being a chennaiaite, he was struggling to catch few areas.

Screenplay:
The screenplay is kinda annoying in many places, Ofcourse, kamal has that fear of failure and he has added masalas, which was totally unnecessary. And in one way, he has forced himself to take the screenplay in such a way to incorporate 10 characters. The storyline is a serious one, you can even say it is a Chase throughout the movie, in such a serious plot, if you have spastic comedy, that too in some scenes the way  crazy mohan/Kamal has dialogged makes you sigh, remember Pamal K Sambandham? . it could have been avoided, the Naidu character is really annoying, he just thinks he is the king of RAW and he does all craps, the character and performance is too good, but not for this movie. Even when the hero and heroine is running for their life, they crack jokes, how is that possible?

Action & Graphics:
Action is too good and they have maintained a class, the stunts seems so real and hats off for that, the last fight is a good one, infact that chineese character is made for that fight in the movie. The villan is too good, he just couldnt do anything against him, helpless.
Graphics has let things down a lot, yea India movie, what else you can expect.

1. Comedies that are added for the sake - almost 50% of them are so

3. The way the Rangaraja Nambi’s story and the present one is connected is not actually necessary, no logic, rather it is creating so many controversies.  Before the movie, i was wondering how kamal would relate these two plots, but now i am laughing, TYPICALLY NO-RELATION.

6. Characters are just stuffed in.
7. Kamal’s argument where he always questions the presence of God.
   

As a whole, it is very good movie. Good entertainer provided you dont see the logic. Some flaws here and there. But it is still an enjoyable movie.

Everyone is hyper about Dasavatharam release, it is making waves, Tsunami in fact. I should have seen the movie by this time, but unfortunately my morning show got canceled. Now I have to wait for another 20 hours to See/Watch/Review/Like-Hate the movie. The review is good so far, except for a few and everyone highlights the loop holes in the movie, in most of the areas it is very obvious it seems. Logical flaw, Make-up, Graphics. All these areas will be covered by Saturday night 11pm IST.

I was browsing through youtube, i happened to see 2 videos which cover the first 6 minutes of the film, may be the guy’s mobile allowed him to take only that much. The very first scene itself is rising controversies and I bet people will make a big deal of out it. It is very sensitive topic, i guess Kamal shouldn’t have touched that area. The long living shaivities -vaishnavites war, in the very first scene kamal states that “….. Kulothunga chola 2 was chauvinistic about the shaivam religion and because of that, he decided to remove the Vishnu statue from that temple….” But the actual story is, the king was planning to renovate the temple and he was just relocating the status temporarily to a incubation space and he also promised that he will place them back as it was before. This is clearly stated is so many books, for online reference check out the wikipedia. In this movie, they have portrayed it as a religious discrimination, which could have been avoided and taken in some other way. FYI, the vishnu statue still reside inside the temple, as it is replaced as stated. Being a sensitive issue, it is very risky to embrace such stuffs, we can just hope people take movies as movies.

Here comes the Review:Dasavatharam-nice movie, but Could have been 10 times better

Are you Dark Skinned? Are you a vegetarian? Then you would have faced a similar situation for sure.

The way with which people decide a person’s diet is with his Skin, isnt it peculiar? yes, it happens atleast here in South India. Normally, i dont prefer non-veg hotels, i stick to veg ones, but when it is going with a group, then I dont mind visiting a non-veg hotel, still i would stick to my vegetarian diet - 100%, not even Egg in any form(cake) as far as i know. In South India, there are two STUPID notions that prevail

1. If you are a dark-skinned, then you are a non-veggie.
2. If you are a veggie, then you must a Bhramin.

There are the two things that just pisses me off. Being a dark-skinned vegetarian, i have faced so many such irritating situations, where i just feel like throwing the plate on the questioner. This is how the conversation goes when we discuss about the orders. It has happened so many times, i have heard the same questions.

Person 1: Hey, you are veggie is it? I didnt know.
Me         : Yes, I am.
Why on this Earth you should know this? Are you my cook or my sponsor?

Person 2: Oh, really… Its only you or your entire family?
Me         : Yeah, Everyone.
Comeon, what difference does it make for you

Person 1: So you are a Bhramin is it?
Me: No, I aint.
Person 1: k. I thought only they are vegetarians. One, stupid smile.
Atleat, now why dont you ask and know that all vegetarians are not Bhramins.

Person 2: So you dont eat chicken also is it?
Me         : Hello?
Person 1: Yeah, man chicken is also veggie too, when a egg is veggie, then the chicken that comes out of it? why not?
Me        :he he
Did i ever asked your stupid logic? or did i ever say that egg is a veggie. Go sink yourself in Bay of Bengal.

Please KNOW:

1. There are non-Brahmins who are vegetarians too.
2. It is not necessary for anyone to be white skinned to be a vegetarian.

I know, you would have faced similar situations too

How many signatures do we put everyday?

If you are a IT professional then hardly you will sign  5 times Max a week, so here comes the question, how consistent is your signature. for people who just write their name plainly or in a cursive manner, the consistency doesnt vary, but for others it is little difficult, that too if you are not using your signature frequently.

When i was in college, during class hours, we use to play this game, each one of us will take a paper(generally torn from other’s notebook) and the game is to put 30 signatures in that paper 15+15(two column layout ). The winner is decided on time/consistency basis, guys with small signatures always had some advantage. One, you can put as many signs in the given time and two, the probability of variance is less. But people with long signs with space(s) in between, have their tough time. It is very difficult to maintain your sign(atleast i felt so). Today i remembered that game, the credit goes to the bank, they asked me to put some 20+ signs in a 30 page page, that too in all possible sides of the form, vertically, horizontally, in the x-axis, y-axis,  half over the photo and half over the form. grrrrrrrrrrrr

There are so many psychology readings behind a man’s signature, they say they determine a man’s character with signature. If you have dots, lines, dashes, curves etc you are so and so respectively. In the era of digital signatures, these things sounds pretty funny, but its fun. Try this, take a sheet of paper and sign on it, say 30 signs and check how consistent are you? But dont forget to dispose the paper properly

5th of June is observed as World Environment Day (WED). How much love you have for the nature and how much gratitude you have for it? It is high time we start something to preserve our nature.

We live as if the world is ours and we hardly care for other beings in this Earth, we make spaces for ourselves by cutting down other beings reign, We cut trees, pollute atmosphere, water, soil etc, we kill animals, we make species extinct. But at the end of it, if someone is not being fair or rude or cruel we call them “Animal” and if for kindness we have used the word “Humane”. Doesn’t it make you laugh. We pollute the environment in every possible way, mind it we are killing a Duck which yields golden eggs.

Once when i was walking down the beach, a 8 yr old kid and her father was walking beside. There was a huge worn out poster lying down near a dust bin. “Dont Cut Trees”, this was the phrase that was written at the bottom of that poster, looking at that, the child asked her father, ‘Papa, why we shouldn’t cut trees?’ the father explained her why we shouldn’t in a rhythmic slang and the girl kept nodding her head. After the story, the girl asked the father, ‘Papa, do you know why man cut trees?’, the father replied ,’I dont know’ and asked her the reason. The girl answered, ‘we cut trees, because we know that they dont do anything if we cut’. Thou it was very childish reply,there is a deep sense in this, if you contemplate you will understand. We humans have a general tendency, we dont do anything counting our strengths, rather we do it by judging other’s strength. If it is a cat, we will throw stones but if it is a Dog, we fear a little, but if it is a tiger, we just run away. Imagine, if the tree is gona kick you as in Narnia, when you cut, will you go ahead and cut?

What difference Can I make?
This will be the question that arise in everyone’s mind, as an individual what can we do to bring in a great effect. Dont think about result, think about your action, start what you can, let us not be the one who decide what effect it will make in the environment. Every single drop counts as a whole, don’t keep neglecting. Start something, this is your earth and you are going to leave this for your children and grand children.

To start with, make a commitment, it may be a very small thing, but it has an effect(Remember Butterfly Effect???)

1. To the maximum avoid using automobiles, they are fuel hungry, try car pooling, use public transport, bicycle.
2. Stop using regular Bulbs, rather use the energy saving bulbs.
3. At least for one hour every week, switch off all the electrical appliances at home, this will make a huge impact.
4. EVERYTHING IS IN YOUR HANDS. DO IT, for a greener tomorrow

No one would have came across this situation, may be the other way round is possible. Still, just an imagination.
