This is pretty interesting right? It is always very difficult to remember local websites and sometimes when we google for the site for our local flower shop it wont be of much help. Now it will be very easy.

This happens to be my 400th Post :)

Stay away! Stray dogs there

Posted in India, Life, People, Social by Bala on the July 22, 2007

stray-dogs.jpg Over the past few months, chennaities have had anxious moments walking back home or even riding their two-wheelers(that too with helmets). Packs of stray dogs have menacingly chased a good number of them, barking ferociously and even biting a few. A stick or a stone is often the taken option. Corporation says, it is on a constant watch to control them, but then again the so called animal welfare associations stage their protest here and there. No one is killing the dogs for the sake of killing, all these protests are not sensible, one of my friend is a member in one such association, they will go and propagate and protest. She was very actively involved in all these until last week, until she herself fell victim to one of the stray dog  one early morning. She usually goes to jogging every morning, she lives in a residential area where every morning we can see people jogging and walking, last week when she went out at 6, it was another usual day to her, but it was not when she was chased by a street dog. She ran as fast as she can, but dogs are always better runners, the next day she called me and told this, i burst out in laughter, she got irritated and hung up. Then I called and told her, ‘Madam, at least now you would have realized the pain of people who really suffer from stray dogs.’ But still she kept arguing, but she was bit convinced.

I agree that stray dogs shouldn’t be killed mercilessly,  but on the other hand, we should also consider the humans who are getting affected. So what is the solution? These welfare associations should act little sensibly, instead of protesting against this, they should go against the same corporation and make sure that, the corp properly vaccinate fertility injections to these stray dogs, which will help in reducing them. It is not only humans who are getting affected by these dogs, even cows and goats are getting affected. In India cows are found mostly in streets than in meadows, if a cow is getting affected by dog bite, the owner will not even be aware of that , finally resulting serious ill effects. Unless we take some serious sensible steps, this is gona be there.

One year @ Photon

one-year-at-photon.jpg

July 13th - 2006
It is one of the most important days in my life, yep, I started my career on this day and now one full year is up. One year in Photon, first and the foremost thing to say about this one year is, “it was fast” as fast as anything.
Life @ Work :
I really cant believe, one year passed, since i came out of college. Still college life is in my mind, sometimes I use to think that this is a long holiday and we will go back to college one day. Finally one year over. Life haven’t changed since I started working, its same as before, i guess my sleeping time has reduced a bit since I started working and of course holidays. A bunch of responsibilities and a pinch of pride after seeing money in hand, something which you got for your effort. Still a long way to go, long long way. No time to spend with friends, life has become a battle between week and week ends.
Work @ Photon :
Great way to start a career, best place for a fresher who wants to grow. So much of opportunities and exposure. I haven heard this at any other company, I am not saying this because, Photon is providing me bread and butter, I am saying this coz i have experienced it. I learnt so many things
Attitude is what that matters
Express yourself, if you have it, show it.
Talent will always find its place.
I enjoy work, people, life and money :)
Life @  future:
As i told, its just a beginning, still a lot to go. But still this is a moment to cherish and relish.
