Shiv Ganga : Trecking above the clouds

Posted in Fun, India, Life, Social by Bala on the June 27, 2007

Banglore trip is over, back to office from monday morning. It has been a very tight schedule since i returned, couldnt even check my mails. Banglore trip was so amazing and adventurous, we went to a place called “Shiv Ganga”.

Shiv Ganga is about 50-60 kms from Banglore on the Tumkur highway. We started at around 8 and reached there at around 10, actually we got stuck in traffic due to some accident. Then we started climbing up, there are two temples in the hill, one in the bottom of the hill and another at the peak. The first temple is about 100-150 steps and it was clearly constructed with a nice stone stairway, so it was not difficult to climb. Then temple in carved inside the mountain as a cav. Behind the temple is the way which leads to the top of the mountain, for first few meters the path is reasonably good, with stairs carved out of mountian and then as we climb up the hill it gets more steeper and no steps, you should use the stones lying there as stepping stones, it was pretty hard path but still you can make it. I got cuccumber at one small shop in the midway, the most dangerous thing in the Shiv ganga is not the steepness of the mountain, but it is the Monkeys over there, dont carry anything in your hand, i was having a carrybag with shoes, one monkey jumped at me and one small fight, i started running up the hill, then people there threw stones and got rid of the monkey, thank god I am saved. So it is better not carry anything in your hand, have a back bag and put everything in that. The weather was so wonderful, it was drizzling most of the times, we had jerkins so we are not affected much, but stilll the path got little slippery. As we moved high, the path was so steep, you cant walk without holding the sidebars there and at around 12 when we are done with 75%, heavy wind was there, we couldnt even stand. Everyone there holded the bars and sat down after 15 mins it became normal. Then we proceded and finally we reached the top of the hill. A nandhi statue is there on one of the peaks, then a light house kind of thing, where in olden days they use to lit the lamp. Amazing weather, wonderful place, no sun, we didnt feel tired. Then we started down, almost it took the same time to come down as it took for the ascending, because the path is very stony and u cant move fast.

Blogging from Banglore

Posted in Blog, Chennai, Life, People, Relationships by Bala on the June 22, 2007

After one year, I came here to Banglore again, this time things have changed not with Banglore but with me, I dont know why, but I have a different feel this time. After a long hectic schedule of the project release finally am here for a vacation, thou not a long one. This time i cant talk about the weather here because chennai weather is almost similar to this for the past one week. I am missing it, only very few chennai days wil be such wonderful, so obviously I am missing it.

Blogging, what happened to me, i have been giving long long breaks here and there, I couldnt blog as i use to, but have to resume everything again, so much of experiences. Life is filled with colors, I need another 24 hrs a day now. But most of the time I am busy with laziness lol, have to cancel all appointments with Lazinesses from now. I should rite? I got a chance to read “One night @ the call center”, its half way through, i cant complete it thou. After a long time i have got a lengthy weekend. This time fully dedicated to family. Still a long way to go(in everything). This is the time for re-charge. So its on. Will come back with a Bang(Every Blogger’s Jargon).

The Boss Experience

Posted in Blog, Chennai, Cinema, Fun, India, Tamil by Bala on the June 17, 2007

Shivaji- The Boss, after missing(Skipping) three shows, i finally decided to go for Saturday first show at Abirami, yuck, so much of mess all around, the theatre management couldnt manage the shows, no proper planning. We were made to go here and there, finally we entered the hall, thank god, i didnt miss even the certificate screening. Then the film started with Rajni’s confetti as the Super Star signature alphabets appear to Rahman’s new improved score. But this is not so appealing as the traditional one, that rocks. Ok, let me not give the full story line or complete bottom to top review of the movie, already so many pieces are out everywhere. If u ask, whether this is a Rajni film or Shankar film, i will blindly say, that this is a full and full Rajni film. The base story is not so strong, the  message conveyed is not of much impact. The feel which we had after watching Indian and Anniyan is present. Shankar, given the power of RAJNI, failed to utilize him well rather it turned out to be a well made Rajni movie.
Coming to Superstar, wow, he is rocking, amazing performance, amazing style, dance. Everything is superb, no match for him, that too the mottai boss character, is ultimate, no one can forget that, only he can do this. He looks so young, reminding us the 80’s and 90’s rajnikanth. It is a very good entertainer, it is sure to cross 2 yrs of screening, everything is simply superb, cant be better. Shivaji - the Syle

Donate Blood, donat Life

Posted in Life, Love, People, Social by Bala on the June 14, 2007

drop-globe-man.jpgToday is World Blood Donor Day. Science and Technology can reach pinnacles, but still blood can’t be manufactured, this is where God smashes man’s ego. Life is beautiful, most of us havent experienced the bitter part of life, still we complain. India is a land of billion people, but still blood is on shortage, why this? Considering donatable population, which is 40%, how many are willing to give? Most of the people are not donating because of the fear, that something mite happen to them. Even educated people are like that, unless something happen in their own life, they wont give. What can be done for this? People should be given more awareness on this, unless it is done, there will be scarcity. For upper class people it is easy to get blood wit money, consider people below poverty, if one unit costs 1000 rs, where is the source. In a country of 100 million people, why is this scarcity? It is high time we do something. Once, i went for donation for a by-pass surgery, after the operation, wife of that patient came and thanked us. God, no words can explain that. It is matter of life, be generous, god has given enough blood for us to donat blood every 3 months, by doing this even u get rejuvenated. Donate blood, donate Life.
