Firefox may be celebrated as the best browser among all techies, thwy may curse IE and go anti-Micorsoft, but when it comes to internationalisation, Firefox fails. For example, thou firefox supports Unicode(UT-8) as it says, it couldnt deliver tamil pages properly, it mispells most of the words. I have cited the screenshot of a page opened in both the browsers IE and FireFox, Firefox doesnt support tamil.

  1. It does supports Unicode and renders Tamil fonts. Its something to do with the system. On my friend’s laptop, it works fine without any additional installations, but on my previous laptop, it didn’t. But, after installing Tamil LIP from Microsoft, it was working fine. (Thou it has no obvious connectios with Firefox)
